Adidas Originals Men's Silver/Grey Adistar Control 5 Sneakers, JQ4168

Adidas Men's Silver/Grey Adistar Control 5 Sneakers, JQ4168

The Adistar Control 5 returns in its original Silver Metallic / Grey One / Core Black makeup, leaning fully into the layered look that defined performance running shoes in the late 2000s. Open mesh sits beneath metallic silver overlays and synthetic Three Stripes, giving the shoe the technical, machine-built appearance that made this era of Adidas running design distinctive. The Adistar line was built around stability and long-distance support, and this reissue stays close to that blueprint.

The upper combines breathable open mesh with synthetic overlays and a soft textile lining underneath. Underfoot, an EVA midsole works alongside Adiprene+ cushioning in the forefoot for a smooth transition through the stride, while Adidas's Ground Control System, Foremotion technology, and 3D Torsion support structure reinforce the shoe's early-performance-running roots. An Adiwear rubber outsole finishes the package with durable traction for daily wear.

Unlike many current retro runners that soften or simplify their original tooling, the Adistar Control 5 keeps the layered engineering and visible support elements intact. It wears naturally with straight-leg denim, technical trousers, or loose athletic fits where the silver mesh and metallic detailing can do the work without competing for attention.
