Adidas Originals Men's Blue Handball Spezial 'Columbia' Sneakers, HQ9438
Adidas Originals Men's Blue/Yellow Handball Spezial Sneakers, HQ9438
Description
The Handball Spezial arrives in a Colombia-inspired blue and yellow pairing, with a blue suede upper and bright yellow leather Three-Stripes that set it apart from the more muted Spezial releases. First released in 1979 as an indoor handball shoe for elite athletes, the silhouette remains one of Adidas's genuine indoor-sport revivals.
The upper combines suede with leather detailing, sitting over a low gum rubber outsole that stays close to the original handball design. The collar and tongue are thinner than those found on a Gazelle, giving the shoe a lean shape without feeling stiff. Gold Spezial branding along the side finishes the pair with the details that define the line.
If you've worn Sambas and want something roomier, the Handball Spezial offers a noticeably wider fit and a softer feel out of the box. The Samba is the narrower, more structured option, while the Spezial keeps the same terrace profile with a more forgiving shape.
The blue and yellow color scheme works naturally with washed denim, olive trousers, and simple grey sweats. It brings enough color to stand out without dominating an outfit.
